Today we discussed how we can look
after our throats – this is our most precious tool when conducting a
Carita, with all her amazing knowledge of how the voice
works, showed us how to breathe properly from our
diaphragms and Sumeeta, another wonderful volunteer, shared fabulous
remedies she uses from India to keep her throat lubricated.
This included making a wonderful spice tea which we hope to try and recreate at home. We also discussed our exciting plans for World Book Day on 3rd March when we will be delivering right across Northern Ireland, including rural areas.
The session ended today with the presentation of certificates OCN Level 2 Facilitation for Shared Reading – congratulations to all our volunteers on this achievement.
