The main aims of Reading Rooms are to promote engagement with literature which in turn will enhance the social well-being of the city by fostering a love of reading, to encourage social interaction between people who might otherwise never meet, and to provide participants with an opportunity to participate, reflect, imagine and add to the narrative.

This summer our Reading Rooms go mobile; specially adapted Reading Rooms on wheels hits the road, and everyone is invited to take part in a series of one-off, pop-up Reading Rooms, which reflect on the beautiful surroundings of the parks, the history of the city, the natural world and everyday life in Belfast.
